Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio developing “Beyond Good & Evil 2,” has not provided a launch timeline, let alone a specific release date, to this day. The sequel was officially announced during E3 2017, but since then fans have yet to receive a substantial update about its development. However, this is hardly a surprising development. It did not take long before this discovery started a new round of rumors that “Beyond Good & Evil 2” might no longer launch on PS4 and Xbox One. However, upon checking, the only available platforms listed for the game’s beta are PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5 only. The source said they registered as a beta tester for “Beyond Good & Evil 2” “years ago” and have chosen Xbox One as the platform. Resetera user glebanych, who has signed up to be a beta tester on several Ubisoft titles, reportedly received an invite for the upcoming “XDefiant." However, they found out that the invite was meant for a platform that they did not choose, so they decided to check on their beta registrations for other games, including “Beyond Good & Evil 2.” Speculations on the possible cancellation of the “Beyond Good & Evil 2” PS4 and Xbox One versions started recently from a Resetera discussion. However, the publisher may have changed its plans for the upcoming action-adventure and it may no longer arrive on last-generation consoles. ![]() Despite the scarcity of updates about the “Beyond Good & Evil 2” development, it remains one of the most awaited titles from Ubisoft.
